Founders Day 2018

This Founders Day in 2018, we travel back in time across the years since Spelman began in 1881. Archived images of celebrated moments throughout Spelman’s 137-year history, such as the white attire tradition and commencement, take us on a reminiscent journey and connect us to those who came before.

Though times have changed, history has been made, and culture has evolved, our traditions remain alive inside our gates, and the hearts of our students and alumnae around the world are forever bound to Spelman.
